Weddings
Centennial United Church's sanctuary provides a perfect setting for a formal wedding. It is a large space that will accommodate up to to 200 people, yet with an intimate feel. Our congregation invites you to celebrate the beginning of your marriage at our church.
"Marriage from a Christian perspecive is based on faithfulness expressed through choosing each other above all others, accepting and nurturing the other for his or her unique gifts, and putting the other before one's
interests, in a lifelong commitment that is spiritual, emotional and physical." (a United Church of Canada Understanding, 2005}

Centennial United Church's Wedding Policy
Revised by the Worship & Music Committee April 19, 2026
At Centennial United Church, we celebrate diversity and welcome all people into our faith community.
- We affirm that marriage is a sacred union rooted in love, faithfulness, justice and support.
- Honouring the commitment of two individuals legally able to marry in Ontario, we uplift and celebrate the unique identity of each person’s race, age, gender identity, faith tradition, sexual orientation, ability, social or economic circumstance or ethnic background.
- Marriage is an act of worship, a reflection of the holy mystery of love.
- We ask all those seeking to be married in the Sanctuary of Centennial United Church to reach out to the minister so their information can be submitted to the Worship and Music Committee for approval.
- We affirm that the minister may marry individuals outside of the sanctuary at their discretion.
- We ask that couples attend a Marriage Preparation Course before the wedding date.
