Members of Centennial United are part of a larger Canadian initiative to reuse and recycle plastic milk bags which don't disintegrate in landfills.
Milk bag mats provide comfort as a bedding alternative to sleeping on cold and wet ground for people in proverty-stricken countries such as Liberia, Cameroon, Iraq, Malawi and Tanzania. Milk bag mats are also used by health-care professionals as a substitute for an operating bed/table where resources are scarce. It takes about 400 milk bags to make one mat, so please help us by saving and donating your milk bags or join this group in providing this valuable resource to those in need. All ages are welcome.
